You can read today's "Our Daily Bread" at Becoming Bilingual
Becoming culturally "bilingual" huh? Think that's fairly easy to say, but easy to do? I think not... At least, not without dragging in my own point of view on the world. Things like the media/music/articles that bombards us with different kinds of perspectives constantly changes the way we may view the world. However, it IS a legit way to slowly introduce God and Christ to the people around us.
One way I find it hard to talk to people about God is that it feels like, well, there is never a PROPER moment or point in their daily stories to refer it. I mean, I may mention it if it refers to my own spiritual life, or, if they had touched base with some spiritual aspect of Christianity. Otherwise, I tend to stay away from it. Which, I find afterwards, kinda cowardly of me. Honestly though, I find it hard to be able to talk to people outside of church/Christian friends about God. Why is that? Is it because I am not "biligual" or spiritual enough?
Maybe I need to remind myself daily to take the time to actually write on this blog, based on "Our Daily Bread" that my mom had subscribed for me on my request? Maybe that will help me become who God want me to be, and find out what it is He has in plan for me. Maybe... Just maybe...
But first: I need to work on being able to integrate daily life and work with God, either by finding Him in little things, or praying for His strength when there's a BIG lineup at the cash desk!
